Dr. Bastean received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy, and Masters of Business Administration in Pharmaceutical Marketing from St. Joseph's University.  He also maintains a license to practice pharmacy in the State of Illinois.

Dr. Bastean has worked in the healthcare sector for over 30 years.  His diverse experiences include; retail, hospital, and clinical practice, academia, consulting, and the pharmaceutical industry.  During his 20 years with one of the largest worldwide healthcare companies, he held increasing roles of responsibility in sales, public and private managed healthcare, pricing, contracting, new products, market access, and value-based cancer care.  He was responsible for the strategic list and net pricing of multiple blockbuster products.
